BME Internship Database
The Department of Biomedical Engineering has an internal internship database where you can find internship vacancies from external organizations and companies, as well as internal research projects. The database can be found on Canvas: check the module page of 8G005 or click on this link.
It is important to note that the internships and projects listed have not been pre-approved by a lecturer or anyone else from the department. This means there is no guarantee that you will be allowed to do a particular internship. All important information regarding arranging your internship or internal project through the internship database can be found in this document.

Getting Started
Many students start their internship right after completing their courses, which for most means during the fourth quartile. If this is the case, it’s important to schedule a meeting with your mentor as early as September to discuss your options. Many scholarship applications need to be submitted well in advance. In the academic year 2017–2018, TU/e initiated trial subscriptions to three scholarship databases:
- EduDonor Index: This database contains scholarships for courses at educational institutions and organizations worldwide.
- EduScholarships Index: This database provides information about scholarships for students and universities.
- HEPSEU Database: This database includes information on educational programs in European countries and scholarships offered to participants of those programs.
In addition to applying for scholarships, it's important to start arranging your projects, accommodation, and—if applicable—your visa early. Use this link for an overview of the visa requirements by country.
