Once every two years a foreign excursion is organised by Stichting Protagoras (StiP) for BME-students. The committee is very busy with the preparations for this trip for 28 students (who achieved their BSA) and 2 people from the BME staff. With this trip, students get the possibility to achieve some knowledge about biomedical engineering in European cities outside the Netherlands.

The destinations of BuEx 2026 are going to be Barcelona & Madrid! The trip will take place during the carnival break from February 16th until the 23rd. More information about the cities and facilities that will be visited can be found HERE.

The aim of this trip is to introduce BME-students to other universities, hospitals, and companies in Spain. Besides, it is also useful to make some contacts when looking for an internship. During the trip, some excursions will be made to universities, hospitals, and companies related to biomedical engineering. There will be some fun cultural excursions as well.
