On Tuesday, the 15th of June, SvBMT Protagoras is organising a lunch lecture from 12.45 until 13.15 with the opportunity to ask questions afterwards. This event is organized in collaboration with NVBMB, The Netherlands Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. SvBMT Protagoras, together with 4 other study associations (SV Mens, ULSV Amino, CODON and GLV Idun) founded NVBMB Young. This lecture will be given by Dirk Jan Slotboom. He is a professor at the University of Groningen and focusses mainly on biochemistry. The topic of this lunch lecture is “Mechanisms of vitamin uptake". Dr. Slotboom will tell you about the mechanisms behind vitamin uptake and how we can use it in our advantage in our battle fighting deadly pathogens.
