Do you want to learn more about the interesting field of nanotechnology? Then don’t hesitate to subscribe for the symposium ‘A BIG small world’ organized by Japie and Protagoras on the 9th of February.

During the symposium, the applications of nanotechnology in healthcare will be discussed by various speakers from academia and the industry. Examples of topics that will be discussed by the speakers are the improvement of immunotherapy by tuning the chemistry of molecular nanoparticles, liquid crystals and their applications in optical sensors for medical applications, how ICMS pushes the boundaries of science in the areas of advanced materials and engineering health and how the company Aspen Oss improves the production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients by improving flow technology and developing new chemistries.

The symposium will be held online and will consist of two parts. Afterward, a (virtual) networking moment will be organized where participants can meet the companies in an informal setting to discuss the research that has been presented. The symposium can be joined online for only 2 euros! A goodie bag will be given to all participants. If you subscribe after the 2nd of February, it is not possible to receive a goodie bag delivered at home. You can pick up a goodie bag after the symposium.

This symposium has received the USE label. This means Bachelor College students can attend the symposium as 1 of the 5 programs required to complete the project phase of their USE course (the SG&USE obligation; for more information, look here). Requirements: (1) your registration for the symposium before the start of the symposium; (2) active participation in the entire symposium; (3) registration of your presence during the symposium. During the symposium, we will explain how and when to register your presence. Keep your student ID number at hand, because you'll need to fill it out. You can find your student ID number on your campus card below the passport photo. Please make sure your registration is done properly, otherwise, we cannot verify that you were present.

UPDATE: The subscription date for the symposium is extended. It is still possible to get a goodie bag, however it can not be guaranteed that you will receive your goodie bag in time before Tuesday.
