Under the banner of Medtronic Articulating Technologies, the team in Geleen is working on groundbreaking innovations that will change the future of surgery. The patented technology distinguishes itself from conventional techniques in its operating principle. This ingenious solution improves performance, functionality and minimizes cost. The Articulating Technologies team develop a wide range of steerable instruments and catheters for various medical applications. Under one roof, products, processes and equipment are developed and built. In this lecture we will share the remarkable story of Fortimedix and give you some insights into the technology, how it’s made and some of the challenges of the technical projects we are leading today.
